Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about what RoastPoint is — and what we are not. If your question is not covered here, use the contact form and we will reply during café hours.
Do you offer BBQ catering, fire-cooking, creative agency work, AI consulting, medical advice, or guaranteed outcomes?
No. RoastPoint is a specialty coffeehouse and roast lab. We serve espresso, filter coffee, retail beans, light food, cupping workshops, and coffee-only catering. We do not operate BBQ or live-fire cooking stations, we are not a marketing or creative agency, we do not provide artificial-intelligence or software consulting, we do not give medical or dietary treatment advice, and we do not guarantee specific health results or competition outcomes from drinking our coffee. If you found us by searching unrelated terms, the name refers to the roast point on a coffee development curve — not those services.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Tuesday through Sunday, 08:00 to 18:00 Singapore time. We are closed on Mondays for roast maintenance, equipment service, and green coffee inventory. Hours may shift on public holidays — check our contact page or call +65 6248 3917 before visiting on a holiday eve.
Do I need a reservation for coffee?
Walk-ins are welcome for espresso, filter, food, and retail purchases during opening hours. Reservations are required for cupping workshops, private group sessions, and catering events. Large groups (eight or more) should contact us in advance so we can manage seating at the bar.
How long should I rest beans before brewing?
Rest depends on process and density. Washed coffees often open up after five to seven days; naturals and high-density lots may need ten to fourteen days. Each retail bag and roast board entry lists a recommended rest window. Brewing immediately after roast can taste grassy or sharp; brewing too late can taste flat. We cup at multiple rest points to set honest guidance — not marketing copy.
Can you grind beans for me?
Yes, at purchase. Tell us your brew method — espresso, V60, French press, or other — and we will set the mill accordingly. For best results at home, buy whole bean and grind just before brewing. Grind settings vary with bean age; you may need to adjust slightly after the first week.
Do you ship outside Singapore?
Retail and subscription delivery is currently limited to Singapore addresses. International shipping may be considered for wholesale partners on a case-by-case basis. Contact us with destination and volume for a feasibility check.
Is there seating and Wi-Fi?
We have limited indoor seating at the bar and a small counter facing Stanley Street. Wi-Fi is available for guests; we ask that laptop use during peak morning hours (08:00–10:30) stays considerate of walk-in customers waiting for drinks.
Food and allergen advisory: Our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, soy, and sesame. Menu items may contain traces of allergens not declared on the board. Please tell our bar team about dietary needs before ordering; we cannot promise a fully allergen-free preparation space.
